Y2KRX

Y2KRX is a 2D indie collection and exploration game focused on discovery, exploration, and unique item acquisition. Players explore six large, individually designed maps, each dedicated to a different collection, while discovering hidden items and completing unique objectives.

The six collections are:

• Cross / Crucifix Collection

• Keychain Collection

• Pencil Collection

• Keyboard Collection

• Special / Hybrid Collection

• Exclusive Collection

Each standard collection contains 10 items at release, with plans to eventually expand each collection to 150+ items. Individual items can have different methods of obtainment, encouraging players to thoroughly explore each map and discover how each collectible can be acquired.

Y2KRX also features a dedicated PARTS system. Parts are components discovered throughout the collection maps that can be used toward obtaining Special or Hybrid items. For example, the Cross Keychain requires players to complete both the Cross and Keychain collections and discover a separate keychain chain and cross hidden within their respective maps.

The game also includes the limited-time Release Day Keyboard. During the first month of release, players must complete all available collections, redeem the release code, locate one keyboard in every map, and complete the redemption process to obtain this exclusive Special item.

The main menu contains five options:

COLLECT — Enter collection maps, view collected items, see missing items, and view available collections.

PARTS — View parts discovered throughout the maps.

SHOP — Purchase items exclusively belonging to the Exclusive Collection.

OPTIONS — Configure graphics, controls, and general settings.

QUIT — Automatically closes the game.

Y2KRX is designed around large exploration-focused environments, polished menus and UI, distinctive character designs, optimized gameplay, and a variety of unique collection mechanics. The goal is not simply to collect every item, but to discover the different secrets, methods, parts, and challenges required to obtain them.

Y2KRX is ultimately a collection-driven exploration experience where every map, item, and discovery contributes to completing the world.
